About

Our mission is to help STEM education evolve for an AI- and data-driven world, ensuring learners are equipped with the skills and confidence to thrive in modern technical careers.

About Interstellar Academy

Modernising STEM Education for a Data-Driven World

Interstellar Academy exists to support educational institutions in future-proofing STEM education for a world increasingly shaped by data, analytics, and digital technologies.

Across engineering, science, and technical disciplines, the expectations placed on learners are changing rapidly. Today’s graduates are not only required to understand core technical principles but also to apply data-driven thinking, work confidently with digital tools, and adapt to evolving industry practices.

Interstellar Academy helps bridge this gap — working with schools, colleges, universities, and other educational institutions to embed data literacy, applied AI/analytics, and industry-aligned technical skills into STEM education.

Our focus is not on replacing traditional disciplines, but on strengthening them: ensuring that STEM education remains rigorous, relevant, and future-facing.

What We Do

Interstellar Academy supports institutions through:

Curriculum and Course Support
Enriching STEM programmes with data literacy, applied analytics, and modern technical content aligned to industry needs.

Workshops and Practical Training
Delivering hands-on sessions for students and educators across engineering, data, analytics, and applied AI.

Teacher and Lecturer Upskilling
Helping educators confidently integrate modern tools and approaches into technical teaching.

Data for STEM Students
Introducing Python, SQL, data analysis, and applied AI/analytics in STEM contexts

Why Interstellar Academy

Engineering education is evolving.

Data, analytics, applied AI, and digital tools are now fundamental to how engineering and science are practised across industry, research, and innovation. Yet many educational programmes struggle to integrate these capabilities in ways that are practical, coherent, and aligned to real-world use.

Interstellar Academy was created to address this challenge — not by treating data as a separate subject, but by embedding it meaningfully within STEM education.

Our mission is to ensure that learners leave not only with strong technical foundations, but with the data fluency and digital confidence required to thrive in modern technical careers.

Led by Dr Akash Trivedi

Interstellar Academy is led by Dr Akash Trivedi, an educator and data professional with experience spanning secondary education, higher education, and industry.

Akash taught Physics in schools and lectured in Engineering at the University of Oxford, before moving into roles focused on data, analytics, and technical enablement.

Across public, private, and charitable sectors, his work has supported over 1530 learners and contributed to more than $39 million annually in recorded cost savings and revenue impact through applied data and AI capability.

With over a decade of experience helping learners achieve clarity in complex technical domains, Akash brings rigour, accessibility, and industry relevance to the modernisation of STEM education.

Looking Ahead

Interstellar Academy is building towards a broader mission: supporting not only institutions, but also individuals navigating the evolving relationship between education, data, and industry.

This includes developing future programmes and resources focused on:

  • Applied data education for non-traditional learners
  • Academic and educator transitions into data and analytics
  • Modern pathways from STEM education into data-driven careers

These initiatives build directly on Interstellar Academy’s work within institutions, ensuring that our impact remains grounded in real educational practice.
